I’ve been hoping to include all of this in some single huge update, but several of these things were done ages ago, so it’s kind of awkward not to make note of them. I’m not sure how soon the other stuff I’m working on will be ready, so why wait? I’ll just get this part over with now.

Huge update to the bike section. It now contains little descriptions of my various trips, along with a whole bunch of photos.
Dainty Penis was down, but it has since been restored. Now it has been reduced to a mere subdirectory, but that is okay.
Fixed up the photo gallery for “3 Years,” making it easier to navigate.
Pedantic markup rejiggering, and a bit more fiddling with the style.
Redid the embossing on the little icons scattered about the site so they look more letterpress-y, which is what I was aiming for to begin with. Also threw them all in a CSS sprite sheet for the sake of simplicity.
Fixed a completely absurd CSS bug in Webkit browsers.
Fixed up David’s “Horse Sense” things.

The next update should include a fair bit of real content. Stay tuned.

A few more things:

Gave my furious LOLCAT article in Etcetera a bit of an overhaul.
Made some further graphical tweaks to the front page.
Changed the markup for Visual, as I don’t think a definition list really made sense there. Also did some editing of its text.
Edited the bike page, again.
Added icons to the breadcrumbs, on all of the sections where such things appear.
Revised how an unstyled version of the site can be fetched: “plain.horseface.org” can now be used for this purpose, rather than the dumb cookie system I had previously devised.

Keeping Things Fresh

Added another site to Visual.
Updated the page for my bike with some new parts information.
Fixed the Twitter script, so it now scrapes those stupid t.co shortened URLs, and instead shows what they lead to. As a consequence, the Twitter image thumbnails are also fixed.
Changed a couple of External’s icons.
Gave up on trying to keep the header all CSS3 based. Now it uses background images, and looks better for it.
Fixed a bunch of Internet Explorer CSS issues, so now everything looks right in IE9. Excluding text shadows, which IE still doesn’t support. Grr.
Resolved a weird bug, where WebKit browsers in Windows XP would choke on the @font-face shit.

You know, I’m a bit stupid for not writing more of these updates, as I’ve been changing small shit around kind of often. It’s easier to make note of these things as I do them, rather than try to remember them all weeks later.

Added a page for my bike to Etcetera. Seemed to be worth doing.
Renamed the old “Information” section to something vastly more pretentious, and edited it a bit.
Edited Personal, moved some things around there, and swapped out the photo for one I hate less.
Changed the formatting of Visual a bit, and added a web site I recently completed.
Dicked around with the overarching style of the site in ways that should be obvious to anyone who saw it pre-dicking.

I’ve probably forgotten stuff. Also, I think I had the timestamps screwed up on these updates before. And I think I fixed them, now, but I think that also is bad because you’re not supposed to change old entries that way. Oh well. Tim Berners-Lee will never forgive me.

Some Small Things

Added “Dainty Penis” to Etcetera. I can’t believe I forgot it.
Added Tim’s new blog to External.
A whole bunch of other trivial little changes and corrections scattered about that aren’t worth noting specifically.

Not a huge update, but still an update, no less.

Back in the Saddle, Again!

Finally relaunched! It’s certainly overdue, and I’m very pleased to have this done with and off my back. Trying to list everything that is updated since the last iteration is kind of ridiculous, as the majority of the site is brand new. So, ten years of legacy be damned, consider this update feed a blank slate! From this point forward I’ll make note of things that have changed. While I do still have a lot of stuff I’d like to work on and add, this will only happen as time and motivation permits.

In any case, I’ve checked over things pretty thoroughly, but Murphy’s law demands that there be must be typos and bugs and flaws and niggles. So! If you see any such things, please, let me know at once.

I had no intention of doing this on Christmas; it just sort of turned out that way, somehow. So, uh, Merry Christmas!
